Tenants' meeting information:

The Lakeview MHP community has received official word that the original contract for sale that was related to the certified letter that tenants received in January has been cancelled. Brett Van Zandt and Michael Giovanone have created a new contract.

The new contract eliminates the "right of first refusal" buyout option for the tenants.

The tenants have now been informed that to have any chance of purchasing the mobile home park they would be required to win a court case to have the original contract with the certified letter upheld with a purchase price of $650,000 plus $18,000 (for the realtor) plus a new additional amount of $850,000 (for purchasing a condominium from Michael Giovanone to include as a partial trade). The chances of coming up with the new price of 1.5 million dollars and the possibility of Michael Giovanone selling the condo to the tenants are less than miniscule.

The certified letter tenants received in January never contained any mention of the condominium or the additional $850,000. Without any mention of it in the contract provided to the tenants, tenants have been told that they were always part of the deal. The condominium and the $850,000 were not part of the right of first refusal buyout contract option that was provided to the tenants.

Tenants were informed that the New York State agency that had offered to assist the tenants has now backed out and will provide no further assistance.

The non-profit organization that was also helping the tenants has stated that if the tenants choose any course of action other than going along with the sale of the park without resistance then they will provide no further assistance.

By design, Brett Van Zandt and Michael Giovanone have taken advantages of loopholes in the law to force the sale of the park and the intentional eviction of all of the residents.

It is EXTREMELY likely that the sale will leave some tenants homeless; including some with disabilities.
